Inauguration ceremony for Bay Vinh bridge to be officially used to serve for the local
As an area with economic difficulties, less-developed infrastructure, the local resident in Tan Phu hamlet, Chau Thanh district, Ben Tre province have to suffer the unexpected risks in daily transportation and activities. This is also reason why the local always desire for a sustainable bridge to be safe for their travelling, for the children to go to school safety and soundly every day and never encounter such incident as being drown and pitiful injury and death.

Understanding deeply and highly concerning that desire of the local at Tan Phu hamlet, Nam Phuong Foundation has help to tackle many technical barriers ans tried to complete the project Bay Vinh project at timely, aesthetic and qualified manner.
Bay Vinh bridge is promising to create positive change for the rural area and the life of the local residents in the coming time.
Right after being officially put in place, Bay Vinh bridge plays an important role in the normal life of residents of Chau Thanh district in particular and Ben Tre province in general as it links the two hamlet Ham Luong and My Phu with more than 500 turns of traffic everyday.
Delegates of Nam Phuong Foundation have played a visit and joined in the happiness of the local resident of Tan Phu, Chau Thanh, Ben Tre.
Thanks to the bridge, the trading and transaction gateway are open for the local and now they no longer depend on junk or boat as a unique transportation means, which are very costly and potentially risky for their life. Most importantly, the bridge will contribute to the bright future of the local resident as the children can go to school easily to foster their dream of using their knowledge to change their life destiny.

Bay Vinh bridge is structured with steel girder, sized 2.5m x 30m, and weight of about 0.5 tons. This project was carried out with the total cost of 907 billion millions, 29 % of which was donated by the local, 71% of the remaining was from Nam Phuong foundation and sponsored by VinaOne steel Joint stock company following “Building Bridge” program.
Delegates together with the local authority put the panel with the name on Bay Vinh bridge .
17 Dec 2016 is the official date of the opening ceremony of this bridge with the participation of many locals as well the authorities of all level and the philanthropy delegates of Nam Phuong foundation. This is the 11th completed project, marking non-stop effort of Nam Phuong Foundation in the mission of improving life and fostering the hope of the people in the most difficult province in Vietnam. In the opening ceremony, there was also participation of donors and stars in the role of philanthropy delegates of Nam Phuong foundation like Duyen Anh Idol, Kha Ly, Doan Thanh Tai.
Đinh Thị Nam Phương – the founder of the foundation said: “ I always think 1+1 >2 to emphasize the strength of the spreading and accompanion. I wish when it comes to our birthday, each of us can spend this day not only to receive but also to give, to help other in our society. That would be more meaningful and better for your life, our community.
“Building Bridge” project founded by Nam Phuong Foundation has, until now, facilitated the transportation of more than 306.223 local people. It has help to complete and put in to use 10 meaningful projects including: Khang Linh bridge – Cai Be district, Tien Giang province; Nguyen Van Tiep B bridge Loi Trinh, Mot Thuoc, Sinh Chanh 1, Sinh Chanh 2, Ngoc Hoang at Cai Be district – Tien Giang province, Tan Hau bridge – Ben Tre province, TĐ 7-15 bridge and Kenh Thuy Tan bridge – Long An province. Proceeded after these success, Bay Vinh bridge at Chau Thanh district, Ben Tre province is promising to create positive changes for the rural area and the life of the local resident in the coming time.
Despite certain concern and obstacles, Bay Vinh bridge will contribute a big portion to the construction of better life for the local.
Derived from the worry and care when watching pitiful drowning accident of many children in the West on the media, young girl Dinh Thi Nam Phuong, together with her younger brother Dinh Ba Khang always yearn to devote to the societye, to help extremely difficult life of the people in the remote area. Through Bridge build 2 project, the two young guys have established a worldwide net work of philanthropy delegates in Nam Phuong Foundation. They- all the young with the same desire to contribute to the community, have done the bridging to open sustainable road, helping the local to access brighter future.

Nam Phuong Foundation was officially set up in 2013 from a family discussion by 02 sister and brother Nam Phuong and Ba Khang about the miserable and poor life of the people in the rural area, where the children are always in the risk of every day danger on the way to school. The founder of Nam Phuong Foundation- Dinh Thi Nam Phuong realized that with her small network, she can persuade people to donate money to build bridges in remaote area so that the local no loner go across river by ferry or junk.
